The first large scale show of its kind since 1997, the signature styles of the Maison Cartier - whether garland, Art Deco or tutti frutti - scream pure luxury.

One local restaurant, four solid reasons to move to Peckham:

One Sunday per month from April to July, @levanlondon will welcome four of its favourite Parisian dining spots to Blenheim Grove, SE15.

27th April

@minibar.paris10

Located in the 10th arrondissement, Minibar is the neo-bistro from sommelier Sebastian Fleury and chef Matt Hiltemann. From the restaurant’s postage-stamp sized kitchen, Matt sends out flavour-packed small plates, accompanied by killer natural wines from France and beyond. Dishes such as plantain cakes with crab ricotta, and blood crepes with braised rabbit, have put this neighbourhood spot firmly on the map since opening in 2022.

Lively neighbourhood favourite Le Verre Volé, located in Canal-St-Martin, is famed for its no-frills dining room, extensive wine cellar and hearty French classics. For its Peckham debut, Le Verre Volé co-owner Thomas Vicente, will team up with British chef Alice Newman, most recently at Auberge de la Roche in southern France. The menu will incorporate a handful of Le Verre Volé staples; boudin blanc with mashed potato, as well as cappelletti de cervelle de veau, beurre blanc au safran.

Buttes Snack Bar, located in Belleville, is the creation of Clément Vezat, Pierre Forest and Benoît Baud. Buttes are serving delicious dishes such as grilled squid, new potatoes with n’duja and handmade tortellini with mapo ragu. They also happen to be DJs too.

Paris’s hottest new wine bar, Les Oeillets in the 11th Arrondissement is from Maxime Dardeau and Solal Martin-Grondard, formerly of Chambre Noire. Wine from small scale-producers are served alongside sharing plates from regularly changing guest chefs. Chef Paul Alexis, who is regularly in residence at Les Oeillets, will oversee the menu, serving dishes such as pulled-pork rillettes with basque peppers, and paimpol white beans with bacon fat croutons.

WHERE TO BRUNCH IN CAMBRIDGE, PRE-PUNT OR WITH PUP 🐶

@fitzbillies is something of a Cambridge institution. Opened in 1920 by Ernest and Arthur Mason, Fitzbillies is renowned for its ultra-sticky Chelsea Buns, and everything is baked in-house.

The décor is not glitzy or over the top at Fitzbillies – it’s friendly and functional whilst attractive and comfortable. And frequented by uni students, tourists and oldies like us having a lovely unhurried sit down whilst enjoying a shopping day.

So – down to brunch.

The special was toasted sourdough bread piled high with scrambled egg, garlic chestnut mushrooms and crispy crispy bacon – which husband Malcolm – a mushroom fan - opted for, whilst I plumped for what is a Fitzbillies signature dish, a toasted Chelsea bun, (well actually three of them) again with crispy crispy bacon and halloumi cheese with maple syrup on the side.

Coffee and elderflower lemonade was also served promptly. Malcolm was in garlic heaven and his scrambled egg (yes of course I tried it) was divine. In fact Malcolm’s special looked so appealing that other customers, coming over to say hello to Rollo Dog, also ordered it – with waiter Oliver recommending it to all he served.

Oliver has been working at Fitzbillies for over four years and loves it – “I meet so many different and interesting people,” he said. “University professors, tourists and visitors to Cambridge” – he’s also the proud owner of a rescue pup so was quite happily chatting away to Rollo Dog in between serving.

It was all delicious – and we could have stayed all day – I really wanted to have afternoon tea which is also a Fitzbillies special, but sadly Rollo Dog needed a walk and so reluctantly we said our goodbyes and left. But not before popping next door in through the Cake Shop door and buying a box of yummy macarons to take home.

Michelin-starred chef @jeanimbert has finally pulled the cloth on his new Disneyland restaurant, La Forêt Secrète, which promises to touch guests' hearts with a feast both for their eyes and their stomachs.

Featuring enchanted forest decor, Christofle silverware, Murano chandelier lighting and dishes inspired by Walt Disney's astonishing cinematic legacy, La Forêt Secrète features three-course and five-course tasting options, with a special menu designed for little ones.

"I have a very special connection with Disneyland Paris," says Imbert, "because all the magic of the films that I dream about comes to life here. My childhood memories strongly influenced this restaurant, particularly those of when I would come to the park, as well as my favourite films. I am thrilled to contribute to showcasing French gastronomy in Europe's number one tourist destination."

Dishes on offer include:

Under the Sea - gently cooked langoustines, shellfish in a marinière style, a touch of caviar, and sea jelly

Mrs Potts' Brew - root vegetable ravioli with vegetable and truffle broth

Prince Ali’s Tagine - poultry ballotin stuffed with dates and dried fruits and is served with vegetables

In the words of Ratatouille's Lumiere, 'If you're stressed, it's fine dining we suggest.'
